About Me

I'm Natalie Halverson and am grateful to have called Faribault home for the past 27 years.

Throughout my 30+ year career in healthcare and public health leadership, I've learned how to assess community needs, bring people together, leverage resources, and implement collaborative solutions that strengthen communities and deliver results.

I'm running for Faribault City Council because every decision this body makes has the potential to significantly impact our community’s health and well-being. We need thoughtful, experienced, and balanced representation who will view important decisions through a community health lens.

I believe in a bright and healthy future for Faribault and we need residents and City leaders working together to help make that happen.

Together, we can move Faribault forward!

Faribault is the place where I've chosen to build my life and invest my time, resources, and energy. My husband, Kurt, and I are passionate about community service, philanthropy, and we enjoy volunteering together throughout the year.

Together, we have two children, two dogs, a couple of classic cars, and a vintage camper. Whether we're off on a new adventure, volunteering, or spending time with family and friends, we value the experiences that bring people together and strengthen community.

My Top Priority for Faribault City Council is Protecting Our Community’s Health

Faribault’s health is more than clinics and our hospital, it is the well-being of our people, neighborhoods, and natural resources. With more than 30 years of experience in public health and healthcare leadership, I will bring a community health lens to every decision I make on City Council.

Additional priorities which support this include:

Strengthening Access to Quality, Affordable Care

I will work to protect and expand local care options, support trusted partners like Public Health and HealthFinders Collaborative, and ensure families can get the services they need close to home.

Investing in the Conditions that Help People Be Healthy

Safe and affordable housing, strong parks and gathering spaces, quality education pathways, clean air, water and land, and well-maintained neighborhoods all shape our community’s health. I will support practical steps that improve daily life for residents of every age and background.

Building Trust through Partnerships and Accountability

I will strengthen collaboration across the city, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and residents — and commit to transparent, responsible use of taxpayer dollars so Faribault stays affordable and strong now and for future generations.

Protecting our community’s health is how we can build a Faribault where every individual and family can thrive.
